Using a cold rack for PCR prep helps maintain stability of the mix. Globe Scientific PCR cold prep racks are designed to be kept in a freezer until time of use. The racks will maintain 4°C on the bench for roughly 3 hours and change color as they warm from 4°C to 7°C.
